  • Renaissance Croydon 40% LET

    Abstract Group have signed up the first major letting in the new Renaissance building. The Pension Protection Fund have taken the first and second floors totalling 39,396 sq ft. The developers will now dovetail their fit out and they are due to take occupation towards the end of October 2013. There is now just 59,687 sq ft remaining on the ground, third and fourth floors. Quoting terms from £22psf.

    Sinclair Clark has been appointed as the national agency adviser on the BEST Network on behalf of LaSalle Investment Management (LIM). The brief has evolved from an exercise to rebrand the existing 6 park science park portfolio which spans the UK to enhance the profile of all the science parks, reduce voids and to introduce shared strengths across all of the parks. The new identity was introduced at the recent UKSPA conference in Teeside at the Best Network Wilton Centre.

    Acting on behalf of MENTA The purchase of the former Bank of America building, Galaxy House was introduced by Sinclair Clark. The current building located on Cherry Orchard Road comprises 100,000 sq ft of former data centre along with car parking. MENTA have formed a joint venture company with Redrow and jointly the proposal is for a new residential development in four new buildings. It is proposed the scheme will commence in January 2014.

  • Up to £1.14m of business rates discounts are available now in central Croydon

    The discounts are part of the council’s Business Support Package, which is supported by the Mayor of London and designed to encourage growth and jobs in the New Town area. Discounts up to 65% in the first year and 35% in the second year, are available to small and medium sized businesses taking leases on premises with a rateable value of £25,500 or above.

    Sinclair Clark is advising LIM on the repositioning of their science portfolio now renamed Business and Science Network, the largest portfolio of its nature owned by a single fund in the UK. The new branding identifies the range of sectors, geography and synergy across the network and will enable cross fertilisation of innovation and ideas. The sectors include: Agricultural/food chain, Data and IT, Pharmaceuticals, Medical and Biochemistry. Sinclair Clark are letting agents for Kent Science Park in Sittingbourne.

    Acting on behalf of Freshwater joint agents Sinclair Clark and Stuart Edwards Fullermoon have let four shop units and part First floor to the British Heart Foundation. On a 10 year lease with a rolling break at the end of the 5th year. In addition part 2nd floor has been let to Strive Training comprising 2,710 sq ft on a new 3 year lease with tenant only breaks.
